The Shabbat Challenge is one of our most popular and exclusive programs.
Young Jewish individuals spend five full Shabbats together, from Friday evening until Saturday evening, in various communities across the Tri-State area.
It's an opportunity to meet new people, create lasting friendships, and strengthen existing ones.
While observing Shabbat might be a challenge, it becomes an enjoyable experience when exploring new places with an amazing group of people, participating in exciting programs, attending classes, and savoring delicious food.
But the real challenge is The ShabBUCKET Challenge!
All participants place their phones into a designated bucket on Friday before Shabbat starts, and they retrieve them after Shabbat ends.
On Saturday night, the host for that week will draw the first phone from the bucket, and the owner wins a raffle prize!
Shabbat #5 is a bit longer than the others, spanning from Friday through Sunday in enticing locations such as Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, or another cool destination!
Only participants who successfully complete the challenge by participating in the first 4 Shabbats will be eligible for this final trip.
The Shabbat Challenge is ideal for young Jewish adults on Staten Island, whether they are beginners or well-versed in their Judaism.
